The PARJAI (Participatory Design Justice for Ethical AI Transitions) project, coordinated by Prof. Lupetti, presents its inaugural event at the Hall of Honor of the Valentino Castle, Polytechnic University of Turin. The project aims to uncover the key factors contributing to social justice issues in Participatory Design during AI transitions, addressing power issues associated with exclusion from processes and algorithmic opacity through a participatory action research approach. The inaugural event includes the presentation of the project’s objectives, participation from local entities and university colleagues, institutional greetings, and a panel with international experts from the scientific committee, and is sponsored by the Italian Design Society SID.
