The international conference “Design Across Time“, part of the annual calendar of the Design Principles & Practices Research Network, explores the value of design as a cultural practice, scientific discipline, and agent of social transformation. The main theme of the twentieth edition invites reflection on the role of time as a measure of change in design processes, following the Aristotelian idea of time as a critical and generative dimension. The event offers a perspective that not only interprets current needs but anticipates long-term challenges in a world marked by environmental, social, and technological crises, positioning design as a guide for significant and sustainable changes.
The conference is open to contribution proposals in seven thematic tracks, and participants residing in Italy can benefit from a registration discount.
