The University of Pisa (Department of Agricultural, Food and Agro-environmental Sciences) is organizing a conference exploring the interconnection between the agri-food sector and design through collaborative approaches, aiming to develop sustainable models through transdisciplinary collaboration. Experts in economics and agricultural sciences, food policies, entrepreneurship, and design will discuss global challenges. Particular attention will be given to the transition towards sustainable food systems, the enhancement of rural areas, and digital and social transformation. The first day, February 10, will open with the Workshop “Food Forward: designing urban and rural agri-food scenarios“, as part of the OnFoods Spoke 1 “Global Sustainability” program, followed by the plenary session “Creative Methods for Research and Learning”.
On February 11, the conference “Creative Synergies for Cultivating the Future” will take place, featuring sessions on Agri-food 4.0 and Design and Innovation. The day will conclude with a round table on agri-food entrepreneurship and the SPEED Challenge Award.
