Aiap Women in Design Award (AWDA), now in its sixth edition, is an award curated by Cinzia Ferrara, Laura Moretti, and Carla Palladino in collaboration with Aiap. This is a biennial international award aimed at visual communication designers. The objective is to highlight—with a view toward enhancement and gender equality—those female figures in visual communication design from the past, present, and future who are not always recognized by history, even in recent times. AWDA is committed to generating a network among designers, researchers, and activists, keeping people at the center of change processes.
