MD Journal launches the call for papers for issue 21, dedicated to the theme “Design for culture and health as common goods”. Bringing together two apparently distant fields allows for a shift in focus from structural differences to the methodological convergences that connect them: culture and health are configured as strategic contexts in which design is called upon to address similar questions on how to configure products and services, make them accessible, and communicate design innovation in relation to contemporary technological and social transformations. Interpreting both in their dimension as a common good implies questioning the design responsibilities of design in building conditions of accessibility, equity, inclusion, and sustainability.
