OUVERTURE represents the opening moment of the Academic Year 2017/18 for the renewed Master of Science Degree in Interior and Spatial Design at the School of Design
By New Interior, we mean those internal spaces, public or private, domestic or urban, often residual but rich in potential, that define the project on a “proximity” scale; with the terms Ephemeral and Temporary, we also introduce the digital, virtual, and performative components of spaces; while the narrative of new urban Landscapes refers to seemingly antithetical dichotomies: interior|exterior, private|public are paradigms linked both to the theme of the renewed and reinterpreted presence of nature in urban places and to the metaphorical aspects of mental and perceptual landscapes of the new spaces in which we live.
