The Regulation amending the decree of the President of the Republic of September 14, 2011, No. 222, concerning the granting of the national scientific qualification for access to the role of university professors, pursuant to Article 16 of the law of December 30, 2010, No. 240, was published in the Official Gazette No. 130 of June 6, 2016.
The provision will come into force on June 21.
The regulation governs the procedures for obtaining the qualification certifying the scientific qualification, which is a necessary requirement for access to the first and second tier of university professors.

Opinion expressed by the CUN regarding the ANVUR proposal of threshold values for ASN 2016. Following the urgent document, an extraordinary session was held to delve into the critical issues of the proposal and analyze additional data received from ANVUR regarding the scientific production of researchers and professors. Based on this, we formulated the opinion expressing strong concern about the distorting effects and the risk of disputes of the methodology applied by ANVUR and propose to identify thresholds that allow broadening the pool of aspiring commissioners and selecting professors based on the indicator values achieved by the vast majority of full professors for first-tier candidates and by an even larger majority of associate professors for second-tier candidates.
