The process for the new round of National Scientific Qualification has begun. The Ministry has prepared a draft regulation to amend DPR September 14, 2011, No. 222, which previously governed the National Scientific Qualification, and a draft regulation on the criteria and parameters for evaluating candidates. These draft documents are attached, on which the CUN is called to express an opinion.
In anticipation of the CUN’s opinion, the scientific societies of the scientific-disciplinary sectors ICAR/10-11-12-13 Artec, Istea, Sid, and Sitda, belonging to our common competition sector, are conducting an evaluation that they will transmit to the CUN.
The main critical point of the regulation is the reduction of publication types to only monographs and class A journals, eliminating all others (essays in journals, essays in collective volumes, etc.). The orientation of all scientific societies in non-bibliometric competition sectors is to request the reinstatement of this third type. The scientific societies of our competition sector had already produced a common document on this subject, which is attached. Today, I had a Skype meeting with the Presidents of the other scientific societies, and we decided to send the CUN a document that reiterates the essential points of the document from 23.10.2014 (which will be attached) and takes a position on the current decree.
As soon as this position statement is ready, we will send it to you and also transmit it to the CUID, which will send a supporting document to the CUN.
