We announce the call for the ServDes 2025 conference, a biennial conference that brings together researchers and professionals to discuss, share, and advance the emerging discipline of Service Design.
The proposal should be approximately 2000 words and answer some questions to be part of the selection process:
Where: information about the host organization and the city (why there?) and accessibility (can delegates easily reach the venue?), including documented commitment from a local research group/team and the host institution (is commitment and support from institutions necessary?)
Who: who comprises the organizing committee (are specific skills required? what are the past and ongoing projects, publications, or teaching activities related to the topic?)
What: what is the proposed theme for the conference (how is it relevant to the sector’s development and the debate during the conference?), any ideas on its possible format and publication options beyond the proceedings, as well as the potential social program
Why: why do you want to organize the conference (what is the interest in relation to service design and innovation in the field?)
When: when will the conference be held and whether the dates overlap with other conferences and deadlines in 2024-2025 (Is the timing appropriate?)
How: information about facilities, accommodations, and support services (conference services, transportation, IT, etc.) (does the venue have all the necessary facilities and resources?)
How much: costs, estimated number of participants, and any conference participation fee (is it sustainable and accessible?), sponsorship plans.
