Dear Members,
thank you for your wide participation on Monday, 14/06, at the Seminar Designing Together the Next SID (we had over 100 connections…), we remind you that the web space opened for the occasion will remain active for a few more days to collect any further contributions from the Members.
The SID Assembly for the election of the new board will take place on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 11 AM to 6 PM, and it will again be an online event. The assembly has been designed to be concise and compatible with the endurance in front of a monitor; the detailed program will be published shortly.
Below are some important details regarding the election of the Executive Board that will take place concurrently with the Assembly.
We remind you that only Members who have paid the 2020 annual fee (already extended several times from November 2020 to today) will be eligible to vote. The fee must be paid by June 25, as specified below.
ELECTION OF THE EXECUTIVE BOARD 2021-2023
During the Assembly on 08/07, the renewal of the SID Executive Board will be voted on, consisting of 9 members who will serve for 3 years and for no more than two consecutive terms.
Once elected, the Executive Board appoints the President and the Secretary Treasurer. The President, in turn, appoints the Vice President.
SUBMISSION OF CANDIDATURES
The submission of candidatures for the renewal of the Board (9 members) can be made until Wednesday, 30/06, using the “candidature format“, to be sent to segreteria@societaitalianadesign.it
Candidatures can be submitted as a “list” (with no fewer than 9 candidates) or “individual” by tenured professors/researchers in service in SSD ICAR 13.
From 01/07 to 08/07 (the day of the Assembly), there will be an electoral silence.
VOTING
Voting will take place online via a digital platform, which will open and close during the online Assembly on 08/07.
It will be possible to vote for up to 9 candidates among those who have submitted their candidacy, either on a list or individually.
The first 9 candidates ranked by the number of votes received will be elected to the Board. In the event of a tie, the younger candidate (year, month, day) will prevail.
Regarding the online procedure, proxies are not allowed.
The list of eligible voters, consisting of all Members entitled to vote (Ordinary Member, Permanent Ordinary, Honorary, Supporter) and in compliance with the 2020 membership fee, will be available on the SID website starting July 2.
The passive electorate, consisting of Members who have submitted their candidacy, will be fully available on the SID website starting July 2.
MEMBERSHIP FEE
Payment of the 2020 membership fee is an essential condition for being part of the active electorate. Therefore, we ask Members to verify the payment of the fee and, if not, to proceed according to the following methods:

The fee must be paid according to the current role of the Member:
– full and associate professors, €100.00
– tenured and non-tenured researchers, contract lecturers, PhD holders €50.00
– PhD students €25.00
The payment receipt must be uploaded in the appropriate space within the PERSONAL DATA SHEET, which must be completed to update the list of Members on our website as also required by Anvur accreditation for Scientific Societies.
Only upon submission of the duly completed SHEET, SID can issue a receipt for the payment of the 2020 fee.

This balance is possible until Friday, June 25, under penalty of exclusion from the list of Members that will be published on the SID website, corresponding to the active electorate.
