The PhD in Design Sciences at the IUAV School of Doctorate in Venice launches the second edition of Design Matters, Conducting Research in Design, a forum aimed at sharing the results of ongoing doctoral research and reflecting on the developments of the discipline in its various forms through the comparison of design doctorates in Italy.
In parallel with the forum, coordinated by PhD students in Design Sciences, the seminar Bringing Critical Thinking and Theories Back to the Center will be held, inviting the participation of professors, scholars, and researchers.
The forum and seminar will take place on February 25 and 26, 2016, at the IUAV University of Venice.
Target Audience
The Call for Papers is open to PhD students from cycles XVIII, XXIX, XXX and PhD graduates who attended cycles XXV, XXVI, and XXVII.
Participation Guidelines
Candidates are required to submit an abstract using the online form by Friday, November 20.
The abstract must not exceed 1,000 characters (including spaces) and must include: title, the research area among those proposed, a reference bibliography (maximum 10 titles), and an image relevant to the topic addressed (300dpi resolution, in .JPEG or .TIFF format).
The abstract and full paper must strictly adhere to the editorial guidelines downloadable from the website.
A registration fee is required for the publication of the proceedings of the two study days.
