The Italian Scientific Society of Design joins the international scientific community in strongly condemning the war of aggression against the Ukrainian people initiated by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin.
In our role, in addition to expressing solidarity with those who have been in a distressing situation for days, subjected to the consequences of bombings or fleeing to safety, we express deep concern for the future of research and for those active in the scientific and cultural institutions of our continent. Research educates on sharing and respect, requires working together towards common goals, and encourages the exchange and integration of knowledge, methodologies, and projects. Therefore, SID welcomes the positions taken by CRUI and European cultural institutions and, together, supports the Russian scientific community in its expressions of dissent and rejection of the war.
